Our first trip this year was a little later than normal, but still to the same favorite spot, Fort Flagler State Park. We missed the window for reservations earlier in the month, but made it for Memorial Day weekend. We spent most of the weekend exploring the park and relaxing, with the kids getting in quite a few different activities. We explored the forts, the kids canoed (and tried a kyak - eek!), and visited with friends. The sky cleared up the last few nights so that we could also see the International Space Station.

This was also our first camping trip with two full sized dogs - Sitka has grown up from last year. She was high energy and had fun, and Juneau plodded along with what looked like a "smile" on her face all weekend long.

Headed up to the parade ground, we are going to explore some forts, and walk back to the campground.
